Chuck huffs out a sigh, tired and exasperated and confused. Laura has always, at times, been difficult to predict or understand. He's used to that, he's alright with it, but that doesn't make a situation like this any less frustrating, with her having told him she wants to leave and now seeming like he's answered wrong, or something. As much as he doesn't want her to go, though — hell, all he really wants to do is help, somehow — it wouldn't seem right to try to make her stay.
No matter what he does, he suspects, it's going to be wrong.
After a moment, he follows her a few paces, though he lingers back in the doorway, leaning against the frame. "I don't know what else you want me to say," he says, shrugging helplessly.
